The North Shore Parent Education Consortium (PEC) develops, coordinates and produces educational programs for New Trier Township parents. PEC is composed of representatives from the community and parent teacher organizations who, in partnership with the BookStall at Chestnut Court in Winnetka, offer programs on relevant and timely parenting topics through joint planning and shared resources. PEC acts as a centralized source of information on parent resources and programs that promote stronger schools, family and community life.

Learn about how to determine the appropriate assistive technology for dyslexia for various ages, from lpreschool through adulthood, and incorporating such technology and accommodations into an inclusive classroom.

Dr. Beckman is a developmental and clinical psychologist in Winnetka, Illinois who specializes in learning disabilities and assistive technology. She has presented lectures on such topics as technology accommodations and study skills training for college-bound LD students and accommodating students in inclusive classrooms from preschool through graduate school.
